Environmental awareness in China is steadily increasing, and public attention to environmental protection issues has also risen significantly. According to data, topics such as "smog," "Ministry of Environmental Protection," and "waste sorting" have attracted considerable attention. The Research Institute for Future Industries believes that China needs to strengthen the recycling and resource utilization of solid and liquid wastes.

Public opinion makes the world a better place. It helps people recognize the seriousness of problems and drives global change. Therefore, we should adopt a positive attitude toward public opinion. Similarly, analyzing public opinion is an important tool for us to identify industry pain points and propose effective solutions.
World Environment Day has just passed, yet judging from the level of public attention to environmental issues, environmental protection continues to be a ***hot topic. According to data from public opinion monitoring, in the field of environmental protection, keywords such as “smog,” “waste sorting,” “wastewater treatment,” and “Ministry of Environmental Protection” are receiving ***high levels of attention.
On the issue of waste sorting, the Qianzhan Industry Research Institute has consistently held the view that waste sorting is the foundation for advancing to the next stage—harmless waste treatment. Common waste disposal methods include landfilling, incineration, and composting. However, each of these methods has its own drawbacks: landfilling can easily lead to secondary contamination of groundwater resources and is also costly; incineration places high demands on infrastructure and production costs, and it too can easily cause secondary contamination of groundwater. Currently, residents in some areas have even used Weibo to oppose the construction of local waste incineration plants, clearly indicating that the public holds a very negative view of waste incineration. Thus, only composting remains as an option. Yet, most household wastes generate large volumes of compost with low nutrient content; prolonged use can easily lead to soil compaction and deterioration of groundwater quality.
But right now, it seems we’ve found a new solution. Recently, Baiyun District launched a new project with an investment of up to 35 million yuan. This project uses black soldier fly larvae to process food waste. These farmed black soldier fly larvae can process 100 tons of food waste—including kitchen scraps, fruit peels, and vegetable trimmings—every day.
As China’s urbanization rate continues to rise, municipal sanitation issues are becoming increasingly prominent. According to an analysis by the Qianzhan Industry Research Institute, many provinces in China still have large volumes of untreated waste. In these provinces, the gap between the amount of waste collected and the amount undergoing harmless treatment typically exceeds 200,000 tons, with some regions—such as Guangdong and Heilongjiang—experiencing gaps exceeding 2.5 million tons. Much of this domestic waste is simply piled up without undergoing any form of harmless treatment.
In our daily household waste, food and kitchen waste accounts for a significant portion. If we can properly handle this type of waste, we’ll have essentially accomplished half of the entire waste management task. Utilizing saprophagous organisms such as black soldier flies for waste treatment is undoubtedly a groundbreaking innovation. These tiny insects can completely consume food and kitchen waste, and the black granular excrement they produce can also be transformed into nutrient-rich organic fertilizer, which can be sold to agricultural companies. Meanwhile, the mature larvae themselves are rich in high-quality insect protein and can be used as feed for livestock and aquaculture enterprises.
Therefore, during local development, we might as well introduce projects for processing food and kitchen waste. Only in this way can we turn food and kitchen waste from waste into valuable resources and promote the concept of a circular economy.
Therefore, drawing on the previous incident involving the “Hubei Super-Large Sewage Leaking Pit,” it was precisely because the waste acids were not recycled and reused that enterprises were forced to secretly discharge them into the wild. Thus, from a forward-looking perspective, only by strengthening the recycling and resource-based treatment of solid and liquid wastes can we improve our environmental quality—and there is also potential for the emergence of new environmentally friendly enterprises.

Three Things You Must Pay Attention to When Installing Exhaust Gas Treatment Equipment
When installing environmental protection technology equipment, there are actually three key things our installation team must get right: First, ensure precise alignment with the centerline; second, pay close attention to horizontal levelness; and third, adjust for any deviations in elevation. If these three aspects are handled correctly and thoroughly, installing exhaust gas treatment equipment will become remarkably straightforward.
